The Fischoff Association begins its ninth season of the Arts-in-Education Residency. Aimed at community outreach, the residency will involve over 3,000 children and adults. Residency activities are carefully crafted programs developed by Fischoff Staff and performing artists. Performances take place in informal settings with small audiences. Fischoff is participating in the city-wide arts festival "Art Beat", a free evening arts stroll in downtown South Bend. The event lasts from 4:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Come hear a Fischoff Junior group at the Emporium from 4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.

This fundraising event combines the talents of a Fischoff chamber ensemble and the American Culinary Federation's local chapter. Several of the region's finest chefs and their apprentices prepare a gourmet feast at several stations. Guests spend the evening sampling fine food and listening to performances by Fischoff ensembles. Proceeds from this event support Fischoff educational programs and support the apprentice chefs at competitions.

2004 Competition, University of Notre Dame. The Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition is the nation's largest. Founded in 1973, the Competition's purpose is to encourage emerging instrumental chamber music ensembles and to provide a forum for their talents. Each year students from the finest American conservatories and music schools participate. Foreign nationals from more than twenty countries representing South America, Asia and Europe participate.
